Julia in WV
Would it be accurate to give a student who has completed Saxon Advanced Mathematics 1 credit for Euclidean Geometry, 1/2 credit for Trigonometry and 1/2 credit for Pre-Calculus?? The Saxon website is a bit vague by calling it "advanced algebra." TIA Julia in WV
ilovemy4kids
according to Art Reed from www.homeschoolwithsaxon.com you can award the following after Alg 1, Alg 2 and Advanced math... If you do Advanced math in 2 semesters it is: 1st sem Geometry or Geometry with Advanced Alg 1 credit 2nd sem .5 pre calculus If you do it over 4 semesters: 1st .5 geometry 2nd .5 geometry 3rd .5 trig 4th .5 pre-calculus he says that the other .5 credit of geometry is from Alg 2 He also suggests only using "geometry" but if you need to specify he suggests formal geometry or analytic geometry hope this helps
