  1. I'm trying to plan my tenth grade ds history sequence from now through senior year. I can't find a thread outlining SWB plans for the History of the World curriculum. Anyone know how many volumes ? We've completed The History of the Ancient World and are looking forward to completing the cycle TWTM way. TIA Julia in WV
  2. Can anyone suggest a geometry software to use with the Saxon Geometry labs? TIA, Julia in WV
  3. After 14 years of doing The Firm, the Wii Fit is much more fun--more cardio and better results too! :001_smile:
  4. I always use Velveeta, but cut the cheese into chunks and add milk in a microwaveable bowl. Then I heat the two in the microwave to make a cheese sauce. Pour over the cooked macaroni, stir together well, and bake. Always turns out creamy. HTH
  5. didn't remember that! I'm losing my mind already and school year hasn't started. Thanks!
  6. I'm needing the Latin IV student book and am having trouble finding it...any ideas?? TIA, Julia
  7. Would it be accurate to give a student who has completed Saxon Advanced Mathematics 1 credit for Euclidean Geometry, 1/2 credit for Trigonometry and 1/2 credit for Pre-Calculus?? The Saxon website is a bit vague by calling it "advanced algebra." TIA Julia in WV
  8. Knolls, NC area? I've seen a few on-line, but I'd rather have someones personal opinion. TIA, Julia
  9. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good literature study guide for the book, Kidnapped, by Robert Louis Stevenson? This is for an upper-level middle schooler. Thanks for your time, Julia in WV
  10. we also use Meet the Masters art program. So I thought maybe I could correlate the Meet the Masters with Sister Wendy's DVD's and book. This way, I could use the program with my middle-schooler and high-schooler. I can't find a description of what artists are included in all of the dvd's. Maybe I'm asking too much. Thanks for your help so far. Julia
  11. Has anyone correlated Sister Wendy Beckett's art history DVD's with The Story of Painting book? Is there a way to know the contents of each of her DVD's in order to match it with the contents of the book? Thanks for your help. Julia
  12. Hello ladies, For those that have used this program, do I absolutely need to purchase the DVD's in order to successfully teach this course? With a teaching background and comfortable with teaching writing, I'm wondering if I need to put out the money for the complete set? Thanks for your input. Julia
  13. Sharon, Thanks so much for all of your info. I did find a 5th edition TM for the Since 1500 text that I was looking for. (It pays to be persistent and slog through all the matches on Amazon :) I didn't think that it would be very different from the 6th edition, but thanks for reassuring me. I have poked around on the CenGage website and found the student links. I wasn't sure how to access the teacher links because it said something about needing a code?? (from the purchased text maybe?) Maybe I misunderstood and just need to take another look at it. Again, thanks so much for taking the time out to post and share your info. I really appreciate it. Julia:)
  14. Does anyone know where I can find a TM for Spielvogel's Western Civ. Vol. II? This is the sixth edition-- I found the ST and a book of maps for cheap , but cannot find a TM. Thanks in advance for your help! Julia
  15. with an elementary and middle schooler at the time. No workbook, but very good. We've also used Leading Little Ones to God which includes a lesson, scripture reading, a song, and a memory verse. HTH Julia
  16. What are your thoughts on the "Great Illustrated Classics" series of books? We ended the year trying to get through Robinson Crusoe with my 8yo ds. I basically paraphrased the story due to the hard to understand language. What version of this book have you used with a 4th grader? Thanks, Julia
  17. If you're following TWTM reading list, what reading selection from John Milton did you choose for your 3rd grader? This would be the Late Renaissance/Early Modern time period. Thanks so much, Julia in WV:)
