Today we were at one and found an abacus for $1.00!!!...this isn't an ordinary abacus...its about 2 feet by 2 feet and is metal and mounted on a big board that you can mount to a wall!!! When we were checking out my 2yo DD said "I want my abacus!" The check out guy said "She knows what an abacus is???" and my 7yo DD said "yes, we are homeschooled and we play with our abacus all the time!" The lady behind me said "that is great!!!" Really nice science and art materials and beautiful wooden games that no one else wanted so they were marked way down. They would drag their stuff to the counter and chatter away about the 'projects' they would make. Great find on the abacus. Hope your girls have lots of fun with it.
