mooooom
My dd had a lovely 1.5hr meeting/tour w/ a professor at a school she is interested in. She is sending a nice thank you note. My son had a 15min interview with an Admissions counselor after a school tour. Does he need to send a thank you note for that?
Brenda in MA
I would have him send the note. I couldn't hurt. Receiving the note might help the interviewer remember your son fondly. Brenda
JFSinIL
Wouldn't hurt. Make sure the kid is specific and repeats some of what he gleaned from the interview, or otherwise indicates he has given more thought to the school. Even asking a follow-up question is good (providing it isn't something one cold easily find out on the college website). At one school ds interviewed the admission person mentioned a book he thought ds might like. Ds got and read the book asap - and was able to comment on it intelligently in his note thanking the person for the interview (obviously took a week or so to do this.) This ended up being one of two schools that really, REALLY wanted ds - it came down to costs for us and the other school won.
