eternalknot
I used to use paypal a lot - I sold on eBay and yahoo loops weekly, and I knew my way in and around the paypal system. I haven't used it since 2008, though, and it looks like things have changed. I read some of the updates, but I'm still stumped. I'm not sure why I can't wrap my head around the changes, but after hours of staring and wandering the paypal website I'm nowhere closer to understanding than I was to begin with. I'm not the sharpest crayon in the bunch, ... and I need help. I want to shop the sell-n-swap here, but so many people take only paypal and I need a refresher course :D. I have access to two accounts - one is personal, the other premier. Seems to me I used to have one or both linked to a bank account and/or a credit card (both of which would be inaccesible now, having been closed.) I couldn't find links to either, though; both accounts said I could add funds to my paypal account via bank account but it would take 3-5 business days. Is there no immediate transfer anymore? IIRC, the personal account is for existing funds only - money already in the paypal account. Right? I thought it used to be also for money that was accessible via instant transfer from the linked bank account ... so this is the preferred choice, correct? The premier account is the one I pay fees on regardless of what type of transaction it is, right? Whether it's existing paypal funds OR transferred from credit card ... I pay a surcharge either way. That's why I sometimes see people saying they'll accept it, but the seller passes on the surcharge to the buyer - right? Oy. Help me shop. Please. Sara in AZ
My husband works for PayPal, and I always want to be helpful in these threads, but I'm not. PayPal is just plain confusing. I'd ask him about it for you, but PayPal just sent him to England for a week. Not so happy with PayPal today! :tongue_smilie:
eternalknot
I'm glad to know it's not just me LOL. I always swore I'd never age into that technically-challenged adult, but ... I'm afraid it was all in vain. I am she, to my disdain! (And apparently a poet, to boot.) Hope he comes back with some fabulous goodies for you and the kids :) I share your frustration with Paypal!
