BarbinTN Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 I have 2 boys coming up 4th & 6th grades. We've been doing BJU English via DVDs and there is NO retention. I am not married to combining them but wondering if I should say in the old 4/5 or should I just get them their own levels? I've heard the old EG is easier to teach and doesn't cover as much as fast??? However, the new has extra Daily Grams practice etc.. Ellie Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 Place younger dc at grade level, older dc with Easy Grammar Plus. Don't worry about Daily Grams or Ultimate Series (which is just Daily Grams). Every level of EG teaches all 8 parts of speech, capitalization and punctuation. The only difference is the reading level and number of sentences on each page.
