jenlaw31
My dd loves reading books, but the ones she reads are probley on a 4th grade level (she is in 6th). I have tried getting her books that are more her lexile, but she hates them. I don't want to take away her love of reading. She will sit down with a book and not stop till she is done. I don't know if I should push her into reading higher level books, or just leave well enough alone
linders
We all like reading easy stuff (mine is mysteries and thrillers) but I think you might want to have her alternate - one "easy" read, one more challenging "classic." Co-read the classic with her and discuss. I do this with DS10 - he would love to read Jedi Apprentice books all day but he also has an "assigned reading" list to work through. It's given me a chance to read some good stuff, too!
