Roxy Roller
We have not started Latin yet, and I am considering Latin Alive! for my DD11, who will be in 7th Grade next year. Is this appropriate for an older beginner? I will need her to work fairly independently, will this be possible? Is there something better? I would appreciate any input in this area, as I have never studied Latin myself.
elegantlion
It's one of the options. I like that it is geared for the older beginner, although we did LFC A & B before starting. With the DVDs I believe this could be used independently. However, the pace increases and I think there is value in someone that has learned or learning alongside the student. I do the lessons with my son. *I* like the program, I enjoy the DVDs, and we plan to stick with it through LA I, II, & III. Other options might include Henle, First Form Latin, or Galore Park's Latin.
