Doran
How do you determine the desired length of a research paper for a rising 9th grader? Is there some "formula" to go by, or a guide that suggests what is an appropriate length? Dd finished up her curriculum a month ago and is now working on a self chosen research paper topic. But, I don't know what is a reasonable expectation for this age. Thanks.
Mandamom
ds15 who is attending a private school (he was the one I homeschooled) and his longest paper was 6 pages and the rest are usually around 3 or 4 pages. He is finishing 9th grade this year (he was held back a year). I hope that helps.

Mandamom
He was given about 4 weeks for his 6 page paper (he chose wiretapping) and his shorter papers he's usually given about a week to complete.
