The flashcards are also very helpful because they have them labeled according to lightunit & lesson # but you could make your own to save $$. mytwomonkeys Posted March 1, 2011 Share Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) i use CLE grade 1 with my son & we don't have the flashcards or the teacher's guide. there are a few problems that require explanation - but it hasn't been a big issue (teacher says number aloud, while child writes it or an oral story problem or place value number, i just make them up...it's easy enough). my daughter is in Grade 3 & this is the first year i bought anything extra with CLE math, which was the multiplication/division cards & i bought the TM just *in case* I need it (which i haven't at all). i haven't found the TM's to be necessary as of yet, but it may be useful.
