SEGway
How do they compare? Has anyone used both programs? Both seem to have a devoted following. :)
abrightmom
I've used both. :001_smile: I can PM you if you'd like . . . or you could start with the Social Group for Phonics Road. There are archived threads and one of them compares AAS & PR. Keep in mind that AAS is spelling while PR is all-in-one.
Veritaserum
I've used both. I like both, but I am switching everyone to Phonics Road. AAS is an excellent program for spelling. PR includes everything else for LA, though, and it saves me loads of time in our school day. :)
SEGway
Would anyone be willing to post the link with previous discussions of PR/AAS? I think I must not be searching correctly. Or, I don't know how to access the archives(?). I am interested in reading through what's already been written. TIA!

johnandtinagilbert
Thank you! You're welcome. I'm hoping those who have switched will pipe in for you. There are some who switched, then dropped PR, too. You get all kinds here, for sure. If you haven't already, check out my blog. There are several "Day in the Life" posts of PR for several levels. This gives you an idea of the progression of the program and the time it will take you daily. There are some posts on planning, too, so you know what would be ahead of you. The main difference is PR is spiral w/ a ton of application to assure mastery and AAS is more mastery w/ review as well. Both are solid programs. And, of course, the All-in-one aspect. To me, the application of LA across the board is what makes PR a stand out program.
