JFSinIL
put so much sodium in their packaged meats? Sigh. I thought I had found a really nice, almost six pound roast at Aldi - I did rinse it before roasting but it is still TOO SALTY!!! I had forgotten a lot of Aldi stuff is the same as T.J.'s - and I have had some pretty salty roasts, etc. from them, too. Sigh. We still have to eat this roast - it is meat enough for 3 - 4 nights. I should stick to the choice roasts from the actual butchers at the local Hispanic grocery store. No added "solutions" and not in those vacuum-sealed thick bags, either. (And less than $3/lb or I do not buy them!) Edited February 9, 2011 by JFSinILnewme
Dobela
I don't like most of the meat at most grocery stores anymore because of the added solutions. We have started buying our meats from local farms and food co-ops because of it.
