freethinkermama
I've started packing lunches for my husband, and I'm wondering how to pack chicken tenders. If I bread and bake some chicken tenders in the morning, immediately wrap them in foil and slide them into his stainless steel thermos (which keeps soups hot all morning) would the chicken tenders be safe to eat at lunch, do you think? Dobela
I was reading (or listening??) to somethign the other day about packing lunches and someone said to put hot foods like chicken and such in a thermos and they would still be hot at lunch. Eons ago my mom would send me with warm foods in a thermos for lunch and they would stay warm that long. Does he have access to a microwave though? I would rather cold pack with an ice pack and let him reheat than trying to keep it warm.
freethinkermama
Ah, that's a good idea--the microwave--but he won't have access. We'll see how this first experiment with the chicken turns out. Thanks!
JFSinIL
As long as you have first used boiling water to heat the thermos (then drain and dry it) I don't see why not. My dd would do this to take her beloved mac and cheese to school (this is my NOT homeschooled for long dd!)
