Pegasus
We received a box of gifts from a friend and I think the items are from Columbia. We figured out the coffee and the coconut candy but can't quite figure out what the title item is. I imagine it is an alcoholic drink of some kind but the label is entirely in Spanish. It also says across the bottom "El Exceso de Alcohol es" and "perjudicial para la salud". Once I know what it is, I can figure out who to re-gift it to as we don't drink. Thanks! OLG
Pretty sure it means tequila that has been aged and the other part is the familiar disclaimer that alcohol in excess is harmful to your health but I don't speak Spanish!
Diana B
Actually, it appears to be Rum. I did a Google search and some translating... "Ron" in Spanish means "Rum" in English. And "anejo" appears to be "aged". Santa Fe would be the distillery. I went of this page: http://secure.iquiero.com/colombia/modules/product/index.asp?cod=10720 - translated by Babel Fish.
