Impish
Mary Tudor is pretty much my least favourite royal. Her 'lovely' habit of burning ppl at the stake has a lot to do with my distaste. I purchased "Mary, Bloody Mary" and "Beware, Princess Elizabeth" by Carolyn Meyer for Diva. I have to say I'm incredibly impressed. Despite my distaste for Mary, the author managed to present her in a sympathetic light (the book is told from Mary's perspective, starting when her parents were still married, and ending shortly after Henry VIII wed Jane Seymour). Very pleasantly surprised with the novel, given my original distaste for the main character. I still dislike Mary Tudor, but while it is a novel, it uses historical fact, and made Mary a far more sympathetic character than I'd considered before. Strongly recommend this book. The author wrote them in a series of 3, but I only have the first 2. Edited January 19, 2011 by Impish
