Danestress
I am entering my kids in a recitation contest. I've delayed this year, and I need to jump on this quick. They both need to pick monologues this week and memorize them. I'm not picking for them, but I do want to present them with a few I think would be appropriate for each. Son 1 likes to argue, not act. He's more a debater than a drama guy. Son 2 just want to be entertaining. He needs something humorous and not too difficult. He's very nice looking and could do something physical quite effectively. Any ideas? Please?
Slartibartfast
I love Henry V at Agincourt (Saint Crispin's Day) How long does it need to be?
Danestress
last year, some kids seems to go beyond that. I'm not sure if the judges held it against them. We butchered the "Friends, Romans, Countrymen" speech to get it under 20, and my son place 4th out of 250, so I can say for sure that they don't penalize cutting lines from a monologue to make it shorter.
