Should I buy the 2 TM's? I haven 't used the 2nd grade Bible and Nurture Reader materials, but based on my use of the first grade materials, yes, you'd want the TM to get the most out of it. As far as the English, you could probably go without. Everything the dc need to know is in the textbook, although there is some optional oral classtime in the TM.
