High School English Courses

Recommended Posts

Hello all - I'm just beginning to think through high school. It seems like we'd never get here, but now I find myself wanting to slow down time. I am reading a few different resources on planning home school high school and have been decided what classes we will require for high school graduation.

Today I did a rough draft of a plan for English (requiring 4 years for college prep). I'd appreciate any comments and suggestions.

3) Write four well structured and logical paragraphs each week

4) Read & study 5 books (at least two must be classics)

o Complete a literature guide on all books

o Participate in a group discussion on at least two different books

o Complete three essays on some aspect of three different books
