Liz CA
Can someone link a glycemic index. I googled something but was too dense to grasp it. All I really want to know are the glycemic values for common things like rice, potatoes, oatmeal, etc.

Mama Geek
The lists of foods and their GI values are not real easy to figure out. The ones I have seen break it down based on what country you are in, what brand it is, and how it is cooked. Rice & potatoes unless they still have crunch to them are high GI values. Oatmeal has a high GI value as well. There is a glycemic load value, which I have not totally figured out, but I think it factors in the amount of a food that you eat. I lost a good amount of weight on it and got pregnant while doing it after trying for 7 or 8 years to get pregnant. HMMM...I really need to seriously start back on it. One thing to note. Peanut M&M's are low GI.:D
