Geography question...indepedent study of geography

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have two older daughters that I would love to do geography with BUT...time is limited. We have had very little "formal" geography and I really want something they can do on their own that would give them a good education in geography...workbook style, I know, I know. I love Charlotte Mason but the reality is...I sometimes need to use workbooks.

My girls are 7th and 8th grade....keeping in mind we really need a "beginning" geography course of some sort.

Thanks!

Kim

Evan Moor has Daily Geography practice books for grades 2-6. But they are beginning books. This company also has some unit type (I think) geography books. I haven't used them. A VERY basic book is The Complete Book of Geography by American School Publishing. Barnes and Noble carries it. You might find it on Amazon, too. Also, National Geographic has a series. Another one is Maps, Globes, and graphs by Steck-Vaughn. Hope this helps.
