Guest
Is there a secular version of some of these great multi age currics around? My dh would rather we did more of a unit study approach to things rather than textbooks for the younger set. He wants more 'light the fire of learning' than fill their heads with facts'. Any ideas? Whereneverever
If you look at the Rainbow Resource catalog under Unit Studies there are TONS of programs out there, many of them secular.
Guest
How about like FIAR for older middle/high school?
Mandy in TN
Have you looked at TRISMS that I suggested in the chronological, unit-based thread? It can be adapted for use by a family. I managed to use WP Sea & SKy in a fairly secular fashion. It is designed for middle school, but it has both a younger learner guide and older learner guide that make it doable for a family. I have spent a lot of time and money at RR and if they have many secular unit studies I have never been able to find them. Guest
The science one looks interesting. I added it to my husband's growing astronomy links. So nothing that hits history, art, informal lang arts and science, geography, literature study and is secular?
cajunrose
I'm an atheist that uses MFW secularly. All I do is skip the bible part. It works great for us. We are in Adventures right now. Loving it!!! Good luck finding something. It's hard finding secular material! Stephenie
