Haunted house help

Recommended Posts

Dd and ds are having a Halloween party for their friends and dd wants to turn her room into a haunted house. The only rule is she has to make everything herself and I'm not spending over $30. We've got a few things planned but I figured 300 minds were better than 1. :001_smile:

She doesn't have a lot of space and the kids are little so nothing extra scary. I think the age ranges are 5 - 9. We've got scary music, entryway of cobwebs (black thread), bats and spiders from the ceiling, peeled grapes as eyeballs of course but haven't worked out how that's going to work yet, little brother dressing up as a mummy and popping off the bed. We have a fog machine and strobe light. If needed we can add ds's room and the hallway to the haunted house so that the entire upstairs is used. I should be able to make the hallway dark but not too sure about that. We don't have access to wood or anything like that so no building.

Anybody has any other ideas??

cool :) I think the boxes and some games (and of course some yummy treats) are all that's really needed, aside from what you already mentioned. And maybe a CD of halloween themed music.

Here's one more link for some spooky halloween drinks:

and I'm sure you could google halloween treats/snacks, too if so inclined!
