Lori D. Posted October 8, 2010 Share Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) Our DSs have gone to Worldview Academy's 1 week summer camp; it is 26 hours of apologetics and worldview lectures and practicum. It has been a life-changing experience for each of them, and WELL WORTH the cost. Not only did it give them a firm grasp of the subject material, but they really came back changed in character and maturity! :) If you can't afford the camp experience, consider making your own at-home course with books and DVDs of lectures, available for purchase at WVA website. Another "at home" option to consider: Understanding the Times. This is Summit Ministries' homeschool worldview program; it includes student manual, teacher manual, textbook, and set of DVDs for $125. Summit also offers a shorter apologetics course, "Thinking Like a Christian"; it is $45 for assignments, projects, exams, DVDs, etc. A fantastic DVD lecture/discussion series on basic comparative worldviews, through a Christian worldview perspective, is The Truth Project (series of DVDs) = http://www.thetruthproject.org. This is usually done through a church, but individuals can sign up and do it, too. Below is a list of books to choose from to create your own worldview / apologetics course.
