JudoMom
My ds8 completed through Saxon 3 successfully. He's on lesson 9 of Saxon 5/4, and I'm thinking he needs a few more months of maturity under his belt before he tackles it. He has difficulty concentrating in general, but it's been made worse by a medicine he's on for chronic headaches (I'm hope the neuro will wean him off in December). I'm thinking of getting the DK Math Made Easy workbook and restarting Saxon in December or January. Has anyone used these workbooks? If so, what did you think of it? ErinD
They're not bad, but how about the BrainQuest series? My daughter loves them so much that she requested to keep doing them even after we restarted regular math.
Chels~
We liked them alright. I used them when I needed a break or wanting to change things up. They are your standard workbooks. Not much explanation. Some pages have a lot more work on them than others. I prefer to have the same amount of problems each day. But that is just me.
