Gamom3
When do you start timing the cooking process?
RoughCollie
The cooking time begins when the desired cooking level has been reached, IOW when it's fully pressurized for cooking whatever is in the pot.
Miss Peregrine
When it is at the ring level called for in the recipe.
HRAAB
I let steam escape for 10 minutes then put the weight on. Once the gauge reaches the correct pressure (12 lbs. for our altitude) I start timing. If it drops down below the correct pressure, I re-start the timing process. Reeciecup
When the jiggler starts to jiggle, turn down the heat and start timing.
