monalisa
We are just starting SSL this week. I was planning to do ecclesiastical pronunciation because the W sound of V just irritates me for some silly reason. However, I just realized when looking at it today that everything on the Headventure CAP site is mostly classical (the games, videos...). Plus, Classical Conversations, which were're doing at home this year, does classical, and we may go back to a group next year. Anyone choose ecclesiastical & later regret it? Just wondering... Zoo Keeper
I made our pronunciation choice based on our long term Latin goals ( I'd like to use Latin Prep/Wheelock's in jr./sr. high); these are the programs that made sense to me as a teacher, and their audio support materials are classical. The Wheelock's site has really nicely read audio that you can listen to/download for free. The v/w thing doesn't sound as bad as you think (but WEEDIE, WEENIE, WEECHIE gets me too...:)). mjpeter
I chose ecclesiastical since my older sons are doing Latina Christiana. I think it will be a fairly easy change in high school if we chose to do a classical program. I know what you mean about the w/v.
