Poke Salad Annie
Do I need to keep going through the phonogram work from WRTR if we are starting Megawords? I'm thinking the answer is yes, but I'd like to hear some input from others here.

Ellie
No. If you're not doing Spalding, the phonogram cards won't be that useful. Just do Megawords and call it a day. :-)

Poke Salad Annie
Sounds great! FWIW, I am using an older edition of Megawords, and have found that it is quite easy to teach with only the teacher's guide. There are copies of the worksheets in the guide, and in lieu of buying a workbook, exercises could be made up from the word lists in a similar way.
