Laura Corin Posted September 15, 2010 Share Posted September 15, 2010 I was diagnosed recently. I only get the bouts of racing heartbeat a few times a year. The cardiologist gave me the option of taking drugs daily, having an operation to block the abnormal electrical pathways, or just living with it. I don't feel the need to get treatment at present - I will if it gets more frequent. He also said that there wasn't an increased risk of heart attack.
