Kidlit
Me! It has been a rough day here, so I guess I just need a little encouragement. I've been stressed out because I tried to get too much school stuff done (plus make it a fun day by baking cookies!) when we have to be out the door by 2:00 for dd's dr appt. The clincher for me was when dd, age 4, wrote me a note that says, "I am sorry because I messed up your day.". Please tell me that my children aren't going to suffer permanent damage from my nagging, impatience, and general crankiness!
PollyOR
:grouphug: Tomorrow will be a fresh day.
....
I hear ya'! I've been up since 4am and I am NOT Mary Poppins today. :grouphug: Can I add that there's no more Diet Coke in our house??
Jean in Newcastle
Yes, the sun will come up tomorrow! (Breaking into song here) :grouphug: I've found (as you just have) that trying to cram too much into a day is too stressful and makes it all fall apart. So learn from that but don't beat yourself up about the learning process. Re. messing up the kids. Apologize and show them how people pick themselves up and keep gong. Learning to give each other grace in a family setting is just as much a part of homeschooling as math is.
