susancollins
I have had a couple of people recommend the ESV childrens Bible. I was wondering if anyone has used this with their children and what you would recommend. I am looking for a Childrens Bible that has easy of use and understand. If you could please include links to what Bible your children have and or any other thought. Thanks Susan
Beach Mom
We use this one, my youngest are 7 and 9 but we have used it with them for a couple of years. It is the NIrV, which is the NIV version for young readers. http://www.amazon.com/Adventure-Bible-Young-Readers-NIrV/dp/0310911435/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1282844450&sr=8-
dirty ethel rackham
I loved the Catherine Vos Child's Story Bible. It is a great read aloud. There were a couple interpretations in there that didn't jive with us theologically, so I glossed over them. But, otherwise, it helped my children have a stronger knowledge of the characters of the Bible.
LisaS
My kids have ICB. It was recommended by our Children's Minister. My children both wanted a "real" Bible with all of the words. They both seem to understand it pretty well too. Here's a link to one like it: http://www.christianbook.com/icb-glitter-wings-compact-bible-girls/9781400311194/pd/311194?item_code=WW&netp_id=504201&event=HPT&view=details You will notice I obviously have girls after looking at this but there are other covers too:001_smile:. Dinsfamily
We've been really happy reading Egermeier's this year. Perfect amount of detail for my 6yo.
