Robin in Tx
The Starting Points class is taught by a guy who I hear is very good. He offers all three years of WVWW, and an advanced Apologetics course. I'm not sure I want to do WVWW because I was really hoping to do SWB's hstory text and reading help from Jeff Baldwin at thegreatbooks.com. Worldview Academy has a homeschooler's week in the fall near where I live, and I hear it's fantastc. I can not afford both the class and the camp next year. I'll have to do one or other. Logistically, the Starting Points class is going to be difficult (time/location) but it is possible. I don't want it to interfere with our regular history/literature studies next year, though. I don't know anything about the homework workload. I could do Starting Points this year, and then postpone camp till next year. That way, we'd get both. I don't feel like we NEED both, but I'd like to make sure we do at least one of the two. What do you all think? Thanks, Robin
readwithem
(whispering in your ear) Worldview!!! Actually when the students go for a 2nd year they meet separate from the newbies for some of the talks. Plus the teaching teams change locations every year (they have a west team and an east team). Although I really don't know how they staff the homeschool week since that's the only team that week. Okay you know I'm just playing with you because selfishly I would LOVE for our girls to have that week together....although with their age difference they wouldn't be together all that much, sigh..... :)
Robin in Tx
E is the primary reason we'd do the camp instead of the course. We can talk about it Thursday :)
Michelle in MO
here in Missouri over the summer, and she said it was her son's absolute favorite event of the summer. I wanted to send our girls, but it wouldn't have worked with our schedule last summer. HTH!
