bnbacademy
X post: I am interested in delving into the business world, or at least understanding it better... Is there is a starting point college text that you would recommend, as in a Business Management 101 text, written for self-education? I come from a medical/ science background so this is like a foreign language to me... Also, I would love to find a text that teaches the machinery of how an economy runs without politicizing it, just a straightforward conceptual approach, if it exists... Any books or authors you can recommend? Any of you business majors have a favorite text? TIA

TravelingChris
THis is not a business text but a very understandable and easy to read economics book- Economics for Dummies by Sean Flynn Masaki, PhD. I use it with the high schoolers I teach and they found it a very good book too. Completely non political.
bnbacademy
Thank you, transientChris. I found 2 college textbooks which were used for a basic economics 101 and a business 101 class. I plan to plow thru them soon, but I think I should find your recommended book. It's been 25 years since college and I'm rusty on that language also... Thank you,
TravelingChris
You are welcome and it is an inexpensive book compared to many texts. I think it is only about $14 new on Amazon and less used.
