TXMomof4
Our house has gorgeous finished floors downstairs. Super easy to care for, look beautiful, etc. Upstairs is a different story (no pun intended)! The floors are stained, but no poly on them. They are filthy and getting water spots etc. where kids run out of the bathroom and drip water, but I have no idea how to clean them without making worse water stains. Any great ideas? This is a rental so I am not going to go through the hassle of putting poly down.
MSNative
I've used murphy's oil soap diluted on a very dry damp mop with good results. Bona may or may not work also. My floors were finished but are 60 yrs old with finish worn off in many places and both have worked. Have you contacted the landlord to find out what he/she recommends? thescrappyhomeschooler
Orange Glo makes a hardwood floor refinisher that might do the trick. You mop it on with a microfiber mop. I've used it on my floors that desperately need to be refinished. It provides a little bit of protection to the wood and makes it look better.
