More specifically, what would the chances of a 23 yo college grad who is interested in just going there to work and live with no connections getting a job? She's willing to do anything... goldberry Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 I live in Divide, which is a rural area about 45 min west of Colorado Springs. DH was laid off about 2 years ago and could find NOTHING in the area no matter how hard he tried. (FYI, background is sales, electrical work, customer service, etc.) He finally took a job out of state that he travels for and then comes home. It was hugely discouraging as he is professional, clean-cut, perfect work history. Couldn't even get an entry level job. This was just our personal experience! Karen in CO Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 I live in Co Springs. My ds has friends in their 20's without college degrees that have been able to find jobs in retail.
