nknapp5
I've been looking into laminating all my VP history and Bible cards. Calling around it seems it's going to cost me an arm and both legs :) to do it. Does anyone have any other ideas instead of laminating them? Or any place you've found to be cheaper? I know some who have bought their own laminator. That might be cheaper than having it done. I thought about buying a laminator but don't have much that I wanted to laminate. Instead, I used a product that I found in the paper and school supplies at Walmart that "self laminates" by sticking a clear -sticky coating around the item. Those laminating sheets comes in various sizes, but they can't be cut.
Mrs Mungo
Amazon has a really good deal on a laminating machine right now! It's $31.49 for the laminator, $10.46 for 50 laminating sheets and you get a $20 rebate.

I've used it for many, many things including making some checklists for my kids schoolwork that I can then use a wet erase marker on to list what they need to do and then at the end of the day we just rinse in the sink and allow to dry. You could use dry erase as well, but I found that dry erase can be erased accidentally much to easily.

You can get a roll of paper-backed laminating film at office supply stores. I laminated all my timelines (18 feet by 1 foot) and had film left over. I think I paid $10 for the roll. I think I got it at Office Max. I know this isn't very helpful, but it's definitely worth a look.
thescrappyhomeschooler
Do you have a BJ's Wholesale Club nearby? They have Scotch Thermal Laminator there for just over $20.00 and packs of 50 laminating sheets for $6.99. I bought one and have used it for many, many projects. WiseOwlKnits
If you have a Lakeshore Learning near you, that's by FAR the cheapest place I've found to laminate stuff. Definitely worth it if they're anywhere close.
