how does this schedule look for a 5th grader?

We will have a 4 day schedule because he will attend the local public school one day a week, for a gifted enrichment program. This will be our first year homeschooling, and we will be using Tapestry of Grace with Writing Aids, although I will sometimes use copywork or dictation in place of their ideas, as he has never done those before and because of a processing disorder they would be very helpful for him. Oh, and Math Mammoth, Grammar Simplified, a free typing program, an etiquette book from the 1950s, and Rosetta Stone for Spanish.

*edited to add that the art/music will be Harmony Fine Arts - Ancient Art and Intro to Orchestra.

I should add that this child is above grade level for reading, and spells very well for the most part. He has had very little formal grammar, and does not have great handwriting. He is also not 100 percent on board with the idea of homeschooling, but I'm hoping short lessons might help?

Here is my plan for my 5th grader, so you can compare:

Everyday we do -math 40min, grammar-20, spelling-10, creative writing-10, reading and comp-30, bible-20 min, and vocab-10min

Monday- History-40min, Latin-15min, Typing-15min

Tuesday- History-40min, poetry, French-20min, Conflict management-15min

Wednesday- History-40min, Latin-15min, Music study-15min, nature-1hour

Thursday- Biology-45min, French-20min, Artistic Pursuits-20minutes, Conflict management-15min

Friday- Biology-45min, Latin-20min, Boy scout skills-1hour

He also has independent reading for 30 minutes a day, book is his choice. We do mapwork with our history.

ok, so that looks pretty similar as far as the amount of time goes. I don't want to overwhelm him, but I don't want to shortchange him educationally either. And being in school one day a week makes everything more difficult as far as scheduling.
