cajunkaren
I am planning my 5th grade daughters schedule for next year and am not sure about Social Studies and Science. We did ACE this year and she was bored. Can you all tell me what your doing or did for 5th grade. I want to make sure I am giving her what she needs. Thanks so much. Liza Q
Fifth grade is a great place to start the Well Trained Mind rotation! But before I explain what I mean, I should ask if you are looking for a plan for the next few years to prepare your child for High School or if you are looking specifically for 5th grade recommendations. To be honest, I wasn't even thinking about preparing for high school. I think I was just worried about making sure she's getting everything she needs without being bored. But preparing her for high school would really be great. Any advice would help me. I am also worried about science too. Thanks so much.. momto2Cs
You might want to look at Oak Meadow's 5th grade.
SilverMoon
I don't blame her. I used ACE myself as a kid.:tongue_smilie: I remember those two subjects being 99% reading comprehension type work, which really sucked the fun out of it.
