Daisy
Independent, but I meet up with a social group for park day and group field trips. No co-ops or stuff like that though.
LibraryLover
:) Our hs playgroup is over 10 yrs old. We share a gentle parenting philosphy, but we have some diverse thoughts about hsing. (Relaxed hsers , Calvert hsers, and unschoolers). We really care about each other and our children are good friends. We're also part of a larger group on a shared a Yahoo list of even more diverse hsers. This is where we post field trips, special events, classes, park days, book, or knitting groups etc. People come and go as they wish. It's the perfect balance; I feel blessed. I do it myself but I run a playgroup on Fridays and we have a nice supportive group. :001_smile: Edited April 15, 2010 by LibraryLover
Ester Maria
Independent. Tried co-op, tried playgroups, girls hated ALL of it and did not click academically with other kids. It left bad taste in my mouth overall, we decided we were better off on our own. :)
