Can you freeze cooked bacon?

We are thinking about cooking bacon ahead to take with us on our camping trips (we have several coming up in the next month or so). Can I freeze it after I cook it?

 

I will have a way to warm it up (we have a new-to-us RV) when we want to eat it.

I did this last summer to have precooked bacon on hand for BLTs and I wouldn't have to heat up the house and it worked fine :)

It's best to under-cook it a little before you freeze it. That way, when you thaw it in the microwave, you won't burn it.

I found that if you don't heat it up and just bring it to room temp for something like sandwiches, it's a bit soggier than if you'd just fried it up. So I think the slightly undercook and micro suggestion is a great idea.
