Mopdop
Ds is a very hands on learner, so I want to do a bit more then the 3 r's next year in K. Would you suggest an overview style look at our state and it's history, or Galloping the Globe? We'll most likely just do this 2 times a wk - we'll be schooling 4 times a wk by then - and it'll mainly be to add something different to the three r's. Samiam
www.statehistory.net has a great state history program...it's has different levels, and one is for K-3...it's basic info but very hands on, and your child ends up with a notebook of their work. ps. I have this for sale if you are interested :)..pm me
EmeraldGirl
We are using GTG this year for our new children, ages 4-9, and it is working out just lovely. We will continue into the summer. First, we covered the 7 continents, and then moved onto individual countries. The seem to really enjoy the activities I choose. Have fun! PeterPan
Since you're already using WP, why don't you continue right on into WP AS? If you don't plan to continue on with full cores of WP, you could just pull a couple of the spines from AS and use them just fine. We did GtG 2nd semester of K5, after her reading started taking off and it seemed like we had time for more. You can also start FLL or do some FIAR. My dd was very into art, so we did LOTS of art. I'd just go with what your dc is into and use that for the hands-on. We also started a sport at that age.
