Gamom3
If you don't finish giving a puppy its shots..don't you have to start over? Someone has asked me this and I told them I thought they would have to start over and get the booster shots again since they did not finish out the cycle and they need to get a rabies shot. The dog is 4months old now
hornblower
Well, it depends which shots. I don't think at this age you'd need to start over. What did they miss? The 2nd DT booster? I really admire Dr Jean Dodd's work & this is her current vax protocol: It's the one that starts where the green highlighting is - http://www.itsfortheanimals.com/DODDS-CHG-VACC-PROTOCOLS.HTM I'd give the DT booster now. Delay the rabies until past 20 weeks of age if possible or give now (if they haven't had the rabies vax.) Boost DT and rabies at 1 year. Use a 3yr rabies vax. I titre after that as our municipal laws don't require boosting. I do need rabies cert if I go across the border so my English Setter who came from the US got vax'd. (Dr Dodd's is doing work to show that rabies immunity lasts a lot longer than we thought and annual boosters are not necessary. She also runs a canine blood bank so there's blood avail for dog's surgeries....)
