I spent that much (actually closer to $20) last fall and got more books than my 16 yo and I could carry in two huge bags. Sorry-but you DID get some awesome books! jlovebaker Posted March 9, 2010 Share Posted March 9, 2010 I'm a library used book volunteer and you did great ... remember all book sale $ goes back to the library (usually) for laudable purposes like reading programs and extra magazine subscriptions - so don't feel bad if you spent an extra $2 compared to someone else - that money is going to good use! And for me personally - what better volunteer job is there than working in sorting good books ... love it! Numerous history books, atlas', scores of reference material, the two entire sets of Great Books of Western Literature. It goes to show what isn't being read as most of our sale comes from donation. What I find sad is (even though it's to my advantage) many moms are out there grabbing for twaddle and completely passing up the good stuff. But, I do come home with some excellent books!
