mama2cntrykids
I'm seriously considering using it along with WWE (not sure which one yet). Any experiences with it? I would use it with my ds9 (4th grade NEXT school year). Do you/dc like it? Is it on par with grade level? Too easy/too hard? Thanks! i.love.lucy
There are lots of us using the higher levels. Did you by chance do a search? It might be hard to search though as "CLE" will pull up tons! I'm using the 4th grade level right now. I think it's just right. Not too easy, but not too hard. It's a spiral program and that seems to be what my dd needs. I'd look at the scope and sequence to get an idea of what's covered. We are really liking it! You can do a diagnostic test also to find out what level is just right. 3andme
I am using WWE2 alongside CLE LA 2 for my ds 8 who is in the third grade. He finds the LA fairly easy but he had some gaps in his grammar so we went with 2 instead of 3. I think they make a nice complement since they stress different skills and my son never objects to either one.
titianmom
Worked out just fine. CLE covers a lot of material and there is just enough repeat that the child has a good retention of what they learn (Spiral approach). We love it. She did the diagnostic test first and we found some wholes. So we worked through some 600 level material in LA and math before starting 700 level in the fall. CLE just came out with a diagramming refresher-type course for those new to CLE who haven't done any diagramming. Very good stuff for cheap and you can go over it in the summer before next year to make sure they're ready for Fall. Kim
