This is not a program for kids who get anxious under stress. It's a race. Some kids love competition; some kids go bonkers under competition. My kid went bonkers. :) Not a good fit. If your kids love trying to beat the clock, then they should enjoy it!

My kid HATED losing. Each game/topic sets itself so you are racing against your own best times. . . So, if dc does one subject (say x5) a few times and gets pretty fast, then comes back a couple weeks later, the child will lose, lose, lose until they are faster than their fastest prior time.

My dc hated it for that reason. After trying it for a couple months with 2 dc (quite young). . .it was the first hs thing I ever sold, as I was quite sure we'd never use it again.

If I were going to use it again, I'd be sure to make the child stick with one topic until it was "mastered", then move on, and not let them skip around. . .

Thank you for this. I had not even thought of it, and I know that my ds will become frustrated quickly and feel defeated even though it wouldn't be a matter of him not knowing the information.

It looks like I'll be saving my money!
