jenL
I came across this in the RR catalog and just downloaded the demo. It looks pretty good, and ds was engaged immediately. Does anyone have children that enjoy this?
Cindyg
This is not a program for kids who get anxious under stress. It's a race. Some kids love competition; some kids go bonkers under competition. My kid went bonkers. :) Not a good fit. If your kids love trying to beat the clock, then they should enjoy it!

Each game/topic sets itself so you are racing against your own best times. . . So, if dc does one subject (say x5) a few times and gets pretty fast, then comes back a couple weeks later, the child will lose, lose, lose until they are faster than their fastest prior time. My dc hated it for that reason. After trying it for a couple months with 2 dc (quite young). . .it was the first hs thing I ever sold, as I was quite sure we'd never use it again. If I were going to use it again, I'd be sure to make the child stick with one topic until it was "mastered", then move on, and not let them skip around. . . QUOTE] Thank you for this. I had not even thought of it, and I know that my ds will become frustrated quickly and feel defeated even though it wouldn't be a matter of him not knowing the information. It looks like I'll be saving my money!
corbie
My kids hated it too. The graphics are dated. The racing thing is annoying. Yes, save your $!
