erinfontenot
I was wondering if anyone out there has any good suggestions on the best preparation for reading comprehension questions that are seen on the ITBS. This is our weekness and I want to make them proficient in this area. Thanks so much...
ElizabethB
Practice reading boring stories and answering boring questions! My daughter does better on harder stories that are more interesting on the ITBS, it takes practice to learn to read the questions first, then read the story, then try to answer the questions, going back over the story if you cannot remember an answer. Many of the TAKS reading comprehension tests (The reading portion of the Texas state tests) are free online, you might also want to get an ITBS practice book. Here's some old TAKS tests: http://www.tea.state.tx.us/index3.aspx?id=5097&menu_id=
