JoyfulMama
Did you use the worksheets for Rod & Staff English? Did you use them only for certain levels? Do you consider them to be useful for review, but didn't find them necessary to do all of them? (I thought about doing this as a poll, but figured there would be too many Others...) SilverMoon
We use them for some of the lessons, but probably not even half. I am glad we have the workbook for those few lessons though. :) The punctuation worksheets were particularly helpful. Not every lesson even has a worksheet that goes with it, so it'd be impossible to just use the worksheets. You could easily do without the workbook entirely, IMO. Daisy
Here is how it breaks down in my house. Most grammar lessons are done 60% oral and 40% written. Writing lessons in R&S English are done 100% written. Lessons with concepts we are struggling with are done 100% written (even if that means breaking them up over two days). If a tough lesson has a worksheet we'll often take an extra day to work through it just for the extra practice. Any lessons that have a worksheet, we do the lesson 100% orally, and then the worksheet is assigned. Kids don't even realize they are doing MORE work those days. LOL. I like to keep the worksheets for our portfolio.
