TXMary2
Stupid question of the evening......what do you store your lettuce in to keep it fresh longer?
KatieJ
I bought the tupperware containers with the little white flippers..........just a sec, I 'll look them up. http://order.tupperware.com/coe/app/tup_show_item.show_item_detail?fv_item_category_code=18002&fv_item_number=P10056908000 Fridge smart containers. They are fantastic!
prairie rose
We wrap iceberg lettuce up tightly in plastic wrap and it has kept for up to two weeks for us. Other types of lettuce never last long enough around here to need storage. I usually keep fresh spinach leaves in the bag they came in with a clip on it because again, they get eaten so fast they don't need to be stored for long. ;)

Anne
I use those "green bags" - I've seen them marketed under several names, but they keep my lettuce fresher, longer, than any other method I've tried - I love them! Anne
mindygz
we separate and wash the lettuce, then wrap it in paper towel (laying the leaves out on the paper towel, overlapping, then roll it up) and it lasts at least 2 weeks. Sometimes longer.
