caitlinsmom
In your opinion how is the writing program at the lower grammar level? How is it structured? We have yet to use a writing program at all and I really dont know what to look for in a program.
johnandtinagilbert
If you function well with a gentle introduction to ideas and are able to use their narration to pull out parts of speech and teach sentences, it's fine. If you need more structured introductions in grammar, sentence forming and paragraph construction, then I'd use something else. I think its a philosophy choice. Some people use Narration and Copywork as their main grammar focus, while other prefer programs with daily, structured grammar lessons. If you prefer the latter, WA is not for you. I am one who needs more structure. Would using FLL and WWE be good choices with TOG? Would that be too much?
The Governess
I am one who needs more structure. Would using FLL and WWE be good choices with TOG? Would that be too much? This is what I plan to do. We used TOG for 6 weeks this year before switching gears and I didn't think it was too much when paired with WWE and FLL. We didn't do the word bank, but we did do the People of the Ancient World book pages. We did these on a day when we didn't do a narration in WWE. I can't speak for WWE, but I can say FLL would compliment nicely.
