Liza Q
So, we usually get some frozen hors d'ouerves (yes, I am sure that I misspelled that!) when we are home on NYE and the kids wanted little pigs in a blanket. My husband couldn't find them in the store so I had him buy crescent rolls and hot dogs. Can I cut the hot dogs up and use small sections of the roll, or do I need to make them big? The recipe on the can uses the whole hot dog, with cheese....not what we want! Now I remember my Mom buying little hot dogs for this - I wonder if they still make them? I make hotdogs a few times a year but I can't remember seeing little ones..... Anyway - any ideas??
hsmom3tn
You want the cocktail wieners. Those are in the stores near the hot dogs. If you're stuck with the big hot dogs, though, I don't see why you can't use those. I would cut the hotdog in half long-ways, so it's thinner; and then slice that up in 3 or 4 smaller pieces. Cut each triangle of crescent roll dough into smaller triangles and roll them up.
